Quick Answer

Winter Milan Cobalt Blue Contact Lenses are a vivid, full-coverage blue pair with a clear center and smooth cobalt bands. They read bold but polished, and they fit everyday styling when you balance them with neutrals.

What the Shade Looks Like

The close-up shows a clear pupil zone that flows into bright sky blue, then deepens into saturated cobalt. The finish is smooth, with no dots, mesh, or heavy gloss. There is no contrasting dark outer rim; the blue simply intensifies at the edge and holds full coverage.

What to Wear With Blue

1. Soft Neutrals — cream cashmere, oatmeal linen, camel wool, gold hoops, tan boots.

2. City Sleek — charcoal blazer, black silk shirt, grey trousers, silver chains, white sneakers.

3. Night Contrast — navy slip dress, burgundy velvet blazer, bronze cuff, black heels.

Where They Fit

They suit creative workplaces, brunches, travel photos, cosplay, and parties. For conservative offices, save them for casual Fridays or after-hours.

Everyday Wear: Yes

They are an easy everyday pick for a cool-toned, graphic eye. They feel too loud for strict business meetings, so keep them for weekends and creative workdays.

FAQ

What color are these blue contact lenses? A vivid cobalt and sky-blue blend with a clear center and full coverage, not a natural hazel-blue mix.

What should I wear with blue contact lenses? Start with neutral creams, greys, and black, then add one cool accent like silver or navy.

Can I wear blue contact lenses every day? Yes for casual days, creative workplaces, and photos; save them for off-hours in conservative offices.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
