Quick Answer
Verona Cocoa Brown Contact Lenses are a blended chocolate brown pair with a cocoa-lit center and a soft fade at the edge — an easy everyday choice if you want brown contact lenses without a hard, obviously “lensy” ring.
What the Shade Looks Like
Up close, the base is a rich milk-chocolate brown, and the center sits lighter, almost caramel, before deepening through the mid-iris with no harsh stopping point. The finish reads powdery and diffused rather than graphic, closer to matte-satin than gloss. The outer edge stays quiet, so the brown settles into the natural iris line.
What to Wear With Brown
-
Warm neutrals: cream ribbed knits, a camel wool coat, tan suede boots, and small gold hoops.
-
Evening contrast: a chocolate satin slip dress, a cropped black leather jacket, and silver hoops.
-
Denim and white: a crisp white shirt, straight-leg denim, a slim brown leather belt, and blush-nude nails.
Where They Fit
Office days, coffee runs, travel, and photo sessions all suit this shade, because the blend stays subtle at conversation distance. For weddings or dinners, add a blurred brown liner and mascara.
Everyday Wear: Yes
This is an everyday pair. It reads natural in daylight and flatters medium to deep natural eyes most; on very light eyes the warm brown looks more deliberate, but it still works.

Understanding Your Prescription
-
Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
- OD - Right Eye
- OS - Left Eye
- OU - Both Eyes
-
SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
-
BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
-
DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)
Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses
Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:
-
CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
-
AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)
Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes
- Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
- BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
