Quick answer
Venice Morning Amber Brown Contact Lenses are caramel-amber brown contact lenses with a fine dot mesh and a sheer edge — quiet for clean girl makeup, warm enough to finish a bare face.
What the Shade Looks Like
The center pools deep and warm, amber-brown around the pupil, then opens into a caramel mid-zone built from a fine, even dot mesh. Those tiny dots blend the color so it never reads as a flat disc. Toward the edge the tone lightens into a milky caramel haze rather than a solid band, and there is no hard rim: the border stays sheer and slips into your lash line. No printed gloss, no fake highlight — the only shine is your eye’s own catchlight. In soft daylight, that is what makes it look like an iris.
What to Wear With Brown
Treat these tones like a camel coat — they behave as a neutral.
-
Clean girl neutrals. Ivory silk shirt, oatmeal knit, ecru straight-leg denim, brushed brows, clear gloss, one thin gold chain.
-
Sharp tailoring. Charcoal wool blazer, white ribbed tank, black slim trousers, sleek bun, small silver hoops.
-
Weekend softness. Cognac leather jacket, cream tee, worn blue jeans, tan suede bag.
Where They Fit
Desk days, travel days, brunch, dinner, party or cosplay styling — the fine pattern keeps all of it believable.
Everyday Wear: Yes
Yes. This is an easy everyday pair when you want warmth without a full makeup look. Skip it if you want a dramatic, high-contrast change — the effect here is subtle.

Understanding Your Prescription
-
Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
- OD - Right Eye
- OS - Left Eye
- OU - Both Eyes
-
SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
-
BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
-
DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)
Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses
Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:
-
CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
-
AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)
Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes
- Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
- BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
