Quick answer

Venice Honey Olive Brown Contact Lenses are a warm olive-brown pair with a golden center and a deeper outer ring: natural, but clearly visible.

What the Shade Looks Like

The pupil reads dark, then opens into a translucent golden-brown center that stays warm rather than brassy. A fine mesh builds outward, staying slightly muted. In the inset close-up, the print is dense: tiny dots packed edge to edge, which softens on the eye into a fine woven texture. The outer ring is boldest: a dark brown-to-olive band with a soft, faintly scalloped edge, darker than the mid iris. Two rectangular highlights catch near the top; the lower curve holds a broader reflection.

What to Wear With Brown Contact Lenses

1. Cream and oatmeal. Oatmeal linen blazer, cream ribbed tee, ecru denim, tan loafers, brushed gold hoops.

2. Chocolate and bronze. A chocolate satin slip dress, black leather jacket, bronze jewelry, a burgundy lip.

3. Olive and rust. Olive utility jacket over a rust knit, dark denim, brown suede sneakers — tonal earth shades let the darker rim lead.

Where They Fit

Work days, coffee runs, and travel days; the reflection and darker rim show up nicely in photos. For parties and cosplay, they add a warm woodland feel to fantasy or vintage-inspired looks.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes — these read as everyday brown contact lenses. The mesh is fine enough to look natural in daylight, and the dark rim feels intentional rather than theatrical. If you want a tint that vanishes in the mirror, this isn’t that pair.

FAQ

What color are these lenses? Warm olive-brown: a translucent golden center with a darker brown-olive rim.

What should I pair with them? Cream, oatmeal, olive, rust, chocolate, and bronze; brushed gold works too.

Can I wear them every day? Yes, for work, travel, and photos — expect visible definition rather than a whisper-soft tint.

  • Don't reuse contact lens solution.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
