Quick answer

Velvet Candlelight Pink Contact Lenses are a soft rose-pink pair with a fine dotted mesh that fades into a pale feathered edge. On the eye they read as a gentle pink glow rather than a flat block of color, which makes them an easy soft glam pick for weddings, dinners and camera-ready evenings. If you want pink contact lenses that look intentional without tipping into costume, this is the shade I would pack for a photo-ready night.

What the Shade Looks Like

Up close, the lens runs soft rose-pink through the center and mid field, built from a fine dotted mesh that keeps the color looking airy. Toward the edge the pink diffuses into a pale, almost white feathered border — no hard rim and no dark ring, so your lash line does the defining work. There is no glitter, no graphic pattern and no mirror highlight, just a smooth rosy wash that holds up under studio light and daylight alike.

What to Wear With Pink

1. Candlelit dinner. A champagne silk slip dress, a fine gold chain and brushed gold hoops; the pink picks up the warmth of the metal.

2. Weekday polish. Cream ribbed knit, straight-leg denim, a soft rose balm and one small silver hoop — quiet and office-friendly.

3. Photo-ready evening. Black satin blazer, a smoke-blended eye and fluttery lashes; the pink reads as an accent against the dark.

Where They Fit

Weddings, engagement dinners, prom photos and any evening where soft glam makeup is the whole point. They also travel well for city weekends — one rosy wash plus your usual base makeup is basically the look.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Everyday wear: yes, with one caveat. The pink is soft enough for work, errands and daylight photos, but it does read as pink up close; if you want invisible, this is not that.

FAQ

What color are these pink contact lenses? Soft rose-pink through the center that fades to a pale, feathered white edge — a blended pink wash, not a solid pastel.

What outfits work with them? Champagne silk, cream knits and black satin all flatter them, and both gold and silver jewelry work.

Are they everyday-appropriate? For most days, yes — gentle enough for work, prettiest in the evening and in photos, visible as pink at close range.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
