Quick Answer
Vanity Bow Cocoa Brown Contact Lenses are deep cocoa brown with a soft feathered fade. These are brown contact lenses that round the eye into a doll-like shape instead of stamping on a flat block of color, so they read romantic without going theatrical.
What the Shade Looks Like
Up close, the center holds a dark chocolate brown and keeps that depth almost to the outer edge. A fine dot mesh covers the surface, dense enough to read smooth at talking distance, then breaking into a lighter scatter where it melts into your own iris. No hard outer ring closes the design — the edge feathers away, which is what keeps it looking like an eye rather than a sticker. The shine across the center is your own light reflection, not a printed gloss.
What to Wear With Brown
Three directions:
-
Ribbon and cream. A cream cable-knit over a white pointelle top, ballet flats, a velvet ribbon in the hair, and one gold-tone locket. Pearls and pale gold keep deep brown from turning heavy.
-
Blush satin evening. A dusty-rose satin slip with sheer black tights, tiny pearl studs, and a cropped cardigan buttoned once. Silver reads cool, gold reads romantic.
-
Cocoa monochrome. A chocolate-brown knit dress with ivory tights and a lace collar. Tonal brown plus one crisp light note photographs beautifully.
Keep makeup in the same family: peach blush high on the cheek, a soft brown lash line, a glossed lip.
Where They Fit
Coffee dates, library sessions, birthday photos with a ribbon in your hair, ballet-core outfits, and mirror selfies where the eye should read round and dark. They also suit party and cosplay looks when a doll-eyed style is the point; the cocoa tone keeps it grounded.
Everyday Wear: Yes
Everyday wear: yes. With a clean base, blush, a soft lash line, and a tinted lip, these brown contact lenses sit close to a natural dark brown and look easy. It is not the pair for a fully bare face — the depth is the statement. Save heavy liner for evenings.
FAQ
What color are these brown contact lenses? A deep cocoa brown with a fine dotted mesh and a soft outer fade — no harsh ring, no orange undertone.
What should I wear with them? Cream, ivory, pale pink, and blush satin flatter them most; finish with pearls or gold-tone jewelry and a ribbon in the hair.
Can I wear them every day? Yes, with neutral makeup and a soft lash line. With a bare face or a heavy smoky eye, they read more like a photo lens.

Understanding Your Prescription
-
Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
- OD - Right Eye
- OS - Left Eye
- OU - Both Eyes
-
SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
-
BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
-
DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)
Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses
Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:
-
CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
-
AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)
Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes
- Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
- BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
