Quick answer
Twilight Camellia Purple Contact Lenses are a saturated violet pair with a soft lavender core and a deeper purple rim. If you want purple contact lenses that stay vivid instead of fading gray, start here.
What the Shade Looks Like
The close-up shows a cool violet base, saturated and grape-toned rather than pastel. Pigment softens into a lighter lavender near the middle, then deepens into a darker purple ring at the outer edge.
The shift is gradual, not a hard line. Fine dotted mesh carries color outward in a subtle pixelated pattern, so the purple blends instead of sitting like a flat disc. A quiet sparkle near the inner ring keeps the center dimensional, and the outer rim stays soft rather than heavy.
What to Wear With Purple
-
Cream, oat, and silver. An oatmeal ribbed turtleneck, ivory wide-leg trousers, and silver hoops. Warm neutrals let the violet do the talking; a gray wool coat polishes it for a weekday lunch.
-
Black satin and patent. A black slip dress, sheer tights, patent ankle boots, gunmetal jewelry, and a cropped leather jacket. The result lands between concert and late dinner.
-
Tonal lilac with gold. A lavender slip skirt, pale lilac mesh top, gold chain necklace, white sneakers. Keep the tones close and the metals warm.
Where They Fit
I’d reach for these on a night out, at a concert, or in front of a camera. They also suit cosplay and themed parties, especially with silver or lilac hair. For the office, keep them to casual days and creative workplaces.
Everyday Wear: Yes
Yes, with one rule: keep the rest of your makeup quiet. A muted lip, brushed brows, and neutral shadow let the violet read as a styling choice, not a costume. If your office leans conservative, save them for weekends.

Understanding Your Prescription
-
Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
- OD - Right Eye
- OS - Left Eye
- OU - Both Eyes
-
SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
-
BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
-
DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)
Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses
Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:
-
CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
-
AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)
Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes
- Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
- BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
