Quick Answer

Turquoise Lagoon Blue Contact Lenses are a saturated aqua-turquoise blue framed by a darker teal rim, so they read as a graphic, cool-toned blue rather than a quiet natural one.

What the Shade Looks Like

Up close, the design opens with a clear pupil area, then a soft aqua wash that deepens into mid-tone cyan before the edge builds into a defined teal rim. A fine dot-mesh print runs across the colored zone, so the surface looks softly speckled instead of flatly filled. The graphic carries a white crescent highlight, and on the eye you get a small catchlight near the pupil. Saturation is intense and the coverage reads dense and even.

What to Wear With Blue

Let the blue lead, then keep everything else cool and clean.

1. Warm Neutrals — white cotton tee, cream linen blazer, light-wash denim, silver hoops. Pale fabric pushes the aqua forward.

2. Night Cool — black satin slip dress, deep teal scarf, gunmetal rings. Dark tones make the cyan look electric.

3. Soft Contrast — peach knit, tan trench, gold hoops, nude lip. Warm tones keep the blue from reading harsh.

Where They Fit

Weekend coffee runs, travel photos, festivals, and party nights. In a neutral office outfit they still look intentional, and for cosplay or staged shoots the blue holds strong under flash.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes, with one condition: this is a saturated aqua-blue, so it looks cleanest when everything else stays quiet — a white shirt, minimal jewelry, soft lips. Skip it on days you want a blue that whispers.

FAQ

What color are these blue contact lenses? A bright turquoise-cyan with a darker teal outer rim, cool aqua undertones, and a fine dot-mesh pattern.

What should I pair with them? White, cream, and light denim with silver by day; black satin, deep teal, and gunmetal at night; peach and gold for softer contrast.

Can I wear them every day? Yes, if you like a bold graphic eye and keep the rest of your look low-key. For a subtle, natural finish they are too saturated.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
