Quick Answer

Tender Breeze Sandalwood Brown Contact Lenses are the quiet kind of brown contact lenses: a warm, evenly blended brown that warms the iris without a hard edge. For warmer-looking eyes on an ordinary day, this is a yes.

What the Shade Looks Like

The center is a clear, medium-warm brown that carries through the middle of the iris in one even wash. There is no dot, mesh, or speckle pattern — the surface stays smooth from pupil to edge. The brown fades gradually outward rather than stopping, and there is no dark rim, so the eye keeps its own soft border against the white. Daylight shows the eye’s natural catchlight, not added gloss.

What to Wear With Brown

1. Oatmeal and denim. A boxy oatmeal crewneck, straight-leg jeans, a tan belt, and small gold hoops. Warm neutrals echo the iris without matching it.

2. Chocolate tailoring. A brown blazer over a white tee, wide-leg trousers, a slim silver watch. Deep brown clothing makes the brown read richer, not darker.

3. Bare-skin makeup. Sheer skin tint, peach cream blush, brown mascara, a cream satin camisole. Keep the eye clean and the blend stays visible.

Where They Fit

Office days, coffee runs, long layovers, daylight portraits — anywhere you want warmer eyes without a statement. They also sit nicely under costume makeup for a party or a cosplay build, though that is styling, not the point of the lens.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes, plainly. It works with minimal makeup and ordinary clothes and stays quiet under office lighting. Skip it only if you want a graphic, ringed, or obviously enhanced eye — softness is the whole idea here.

FAQ

What color are these brown contact lenses? A medium-warm milk-tea brown, evenly spread, with a soft fade and no dark outer ring.

What should I wear with them? Oatmeal knits, denim, and gold for day; chocolate tailoring and cream satin for evening.

Is there a visible pattern? No — the surface is smooth with no dot or mesh texture, so the iris looks softly tinted rather than printed.

  • Don't reuse contact lens solution.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
