Quick answer

Tea Garden Olive Green Contact Lenses are a natural green contact lens with an amber-brown core and a soft olive edge. They read as a quiet eye color, not a statement.

What the Shade Looks Like

In the close-up, the center is warm amber-brown and the pupil stays visible. The color feathers outward into a muted olive green, with no hard black rim and no heavy dot pattern — just a fine, diffused wash that keeps the edge soft. A small highlight sits on the surface without turning glossy, so daylight shows warmth first and green second. That blend keeps it reading like an iris, not a printed circle.

What to Wear With Green

  1. Cream and camel: a ribbed knit, a wool coat, and small brushed-gold hoops keep the olive edge warm and clean.
  2. Black and charcoal: a slip dress or a black blazer with a thin silver chain pushes the green cooler for evening.
  3. Denim and white: a white tee and mid-wash jeans give the softest daytime version, especially with a bare face.

Where They Fit

This is a lens for real life: workdays with minimal makeup, weekend brunch, travel photos, and dinners where you want your eyes to carry the look. It also suits cosplay or party styling when you want a warm brown-green eye kept understated.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Green contact lenses can be tricky, but this pair is easy to live in. Wear it on olive or warm skin tones for a subtle lift, and skip it if you want loud, saturated green — the blend is deliberately soft.

FAQ

Is this lens green or brown? Both. The center is amber-brown and the outer blend is olive green, so it looks warm up close and greener from a distance.

What should I wear with them? Cream, camel, and gold flatter the warm center; black and silver sharpen the green. Denim and white is the safest everyday pairing.

Can I wear them daily? Yes, in most settings. The soft edge keeps them believable at work and in daylight.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
