Quick answer

Tea Garden Brown Contact Lenses are a deep tea-brown pair built for an easy, everyday eye. If you want brown contact lenses that deepen the iris in one soft layer instead of a hard graphic ring, start here.

What the Shade Looks Like

The base is a saturated tea brown, closer to dark chocolate than honey. Color sits deepest at the pupil, eases into warm amber-brown through the middle of the iris, then softens outward.

There is no hard liner ring. The outer edge dissolves instead of drawing a line, so the color reads like your own iris turned up a few shades. The dot blend is fine and soft-focus; at arm’s length it flattens into a smooth brown field.

What to Wear With Brown

  1. Warm tonal neutrals. Cream ribbed knit, camel wool coat, tan leather bag, gold hoops — keeping everything warm makes the brown look intentional.
  2. Cool contrast. Black turtleneck, slate blazer, white shirt, silver jewelry. Cool tones push the warm brown forward with no makeup effort.
  3. Soft denim. Mid-wash jeans, beige tee, taupe boots, thin gold chain.

Where They Fit

Daytime first: desk days, coffee runs, long travel, and photos where the eyes carry the frame. At night it holds up with smoky liner, and it suits party or cosplay looks without turning costume.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes, with one caveat. The blend is quiet and believable and needs no full face of makeup. On very dark natural irises the change reads subtle; on lighter eyes, expect a clear deepening to warm tea brown.

FAQ

What color are these brown contact lenses? A rich tea brown — dark chocolate at the center, opening into amber-brown, with a soft edge and no hard rim.

What should I wear with them? Warm neutrals like cream, camel and gold keep it soft; black, slate and silver deepen the contrast.

Can I wear them every day? For most daytime plans, yes — the design is low-contrast. Want an obvious switch? Choose a lighter, more saturated shade.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
