Quick answer

Sunroom Amber Brown Contact Lenses are warm, golden-leaning brown contact lenses with a smooth center-to-edge blend and no hard rim, which makes them an easy daytime pair.

What the Shade Looks Like

Close up, the lens opens with light amber-brown around the pupil, then rolls outward into chestnut and settles into chocolate at the very edge. That pupil-to-center and center-to-mid transition is visible and gentle, and the color never looks stamped on. There is no graphic rim, no glitter, and no black outline doing the work.

Because the outer edge stays soft, the effect is quiet. Nothing reads costume — it reads like a warmer, sunlit iris in daylight.

What to Wear With Brown

Warm brown looks most intentional when your clothes share its temperature.

  1. Oatmeal, cream, and brushed gold. A chunky oatmeal cardigan, cream straight-leg denim, a camel trench, and small gold hoops keep every tone in one golden register.
  2. Charcoal, poplin, and silver. A charcoal wool blazer over a crisp white poplin shirt with thin silver earrings pushes the amber brighter and cooler.
  3. Denim, leather, and warm bronze. Mid-blue denim, a black leather jacket, and a bronze chain necklace give it downtown edge; swap in a silk scarf for something softer.

Where They Fit

Desk days, long flights, coffee runs, brunch, and any shoot where the brief is minimal makeup. They handle a birthday dinner without turning theatrical. For cosplay or a themed party they can support a natural character look, but this is a daytime lens first.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes. It holds up with bare lids, a little concealer, and one coat of mascara.

Where it stops working: heavy winged liner, glitter shadow, or a smoky eye will fight the softness. Save these for another night.

FAQ

What color are these brown contact lenses? A warm golden-brown — lighter amber near the pupil, deeper chestnut at the edge, with no dark rim.

What should I wear with them? Cream, oatmeal, and camel with gold keeps them warm; charcoal, white, and silver makes them sharper.

Can I wear them every day? Yes, with light makeup — bare lids, mascara, and daylight suit them best.

  • Don't reuse contact lens solution.

  • Never use saliva as a wetting agent.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
