Quick answer

Sunday Denim Blue Contact Lenses give you a smooth, full blue that reads clearly in daylight without a hard edge. These are blue contact lenses you can wear on an ordinary Tuesday: the color is confident, the blend relaxed.

What the Shade Looks Like

The close-up shows a clear blue filling the center and mid field of the iris before it diffuses toward the outer edge. There is no printed dot mesh or starburst pattern — just a smooth, even wash of color. The tone stays consistent through the middle instead of darkening into a ring, which keeps the effect soft up close.

What to Wear With Blue

1. Crisp daytime denim. A white ribbed tee, straight-leg light-wash jeans, and small gold hoops keep the blue casual and intentional. Add a tan leather belt and stop there.

2. Warm neutrals. Oatmeal linen trousers, a cream knit, and cognac leather sandals let the blue be the only cool note in the outfit.

3. Cool evening minimal. Charcoal suiting, a slate silk camisole, and brushed silver earrings lean into the blue instead of fighting it.

Where They Fit

Daylight is where these shine: a coffee run, a long walk, a farmers market, a casual workday, or a window-light portrait. At a party or a cosplay meetup they can play a supporting role, but they are styled for real life, not a costume.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes, with one caveat. With bare skin, mascara, and a nude lip, the blue reads as a deliberate accent that suits daily wear. In a conservative office it looks like a statement rather than a natural eye color, so keep the rest of your makeup quiet.

FAQ

What color are these lenses? A clear, full blue that softens toward the outer edge — one smooth tone, not a printed pattern.

What should I wear with blue contact lenses like these? White and light denim, warm oatmeal and cream, or charcoal with brushed silver. Let the blue be the accent.

Can I wear them every day? Yes — pair them with minimal makeup and simple clothing, and save the bolder styling for weekends or photos.

  • Don't wear contact lenses overnight.
  • Don't wear your contact lenses in the shower or while swimming.
  • Don't reuse contact lens solution.

  • Never use saliva as a wetting agent.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
