Quick Answer

Summer Milan Chestnut Brown Contact Lenses are a solid, soft-glam brown with a smooth center-to-edge blend and no dark rim. This is the quiet, expensive end of brown contact lenses.

What the Shade Looks Like

The close-up shows one continuous chestnut field. There is no dark outer ring and no printed pattern, so the edge fades instead of drawing a line. The center sits a shade lighter and warmer, then deepens toward the rim in an even fade. The finish is satin-matte, with shine only from the eye’s own wet highlight.

What to Wear With Brown

1. Champagne Bridal. Champagne silk slip dress, fine gold chain, nude patent heels, cream satin clutch. Keep makeup warm: blended bronze shadow, fluttery lashes, nude lip.

2. City Dinner. Ivory cashmere knit, camel trousers, brushed-gold hoops, chocolate leather bag. The brown picks up camel and gold without fighting them.

3. Photo-Ready Evening. Espresso satin midi, slim silver cuff, soft taupe smoky eye. Charcoal or all-black works if you want brown to be the only warm note.

Where They Fit

Soft glam is the lane: weddings, dinners, holiday parties, studio beauty shoots. It still handles a normal workday of video calls and client lunches, and for a themed party it works as a warm brown base, not a special-effect lens.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes, treat this as an everyday brown. Full, even coverage tops the eye without looking flat, and the missing dark rim keeps it office-appropriate. If you want a bold doll eye with a hard ring, this is not that lens.

FAQ

What shade are these brown contact lenses? A solid chestnut brown: lighter center, deeper edge, no black rim, no grey undertone, no glitter.

What should I wear with them? Warm neutrals: champagne, ivory, camel, chocolate, soft gold. Cool grey and silver let the brown stand out as the only warm note.

Can I wear them every day? Yes. Keep the eyeshadow blended and skip graphic liner so the soft glam effect stays.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
