Quick Answer
Summer Iris Green Contact Lenses are a true, saturated green pair — dark at the center, light at the edge — and they stay on the everyday side of green contact lenses.
What the Shade Looks Like
The base is unmistakable green, not grayish sage or yellow olive. Around the pupil it sinks into deep forest green, then opens into a light, sunlit green at the edge.
The edge fades out rather than stopping at a hard ring, and the surface reads smooth and even, with no mirrored gloss or flecked texture.
The center sits dark over part of the pupil, so the finish looks full rather than sheer.
What to Wear With Green
Decide whether you want the green to blend or pop.
-
Cream and camel neutrals. Oatmeal knit, cream denim, a camel trench, small gold hoops — quiet pieces that let the green lead.
-
Chocolate and black. A chocolate wool blazer, black slim trousers, smudged brown liner — green becomes the only cool note.
-
Faded denim and white. A light-wash denim jacket, a white tee, silver hoops — the relaxed weekend version.
Where They Fit
These are daytime lenses — coffee runs, farmers markets, travel days, rooftop dinners, casual portraits. They photograph best in daylight, where the dark-to-light shift shows most. A party or cosplay build works too, though this shade does not need a costume.
Everyday Wear: Yes
Yes, this is an everyday green. It holds with minimal makeup and plain clothes. The caveat is the dark center — if you want a barely-there tint, this is more coverage than that.
FAQ
What color are these green contact lenses? A true green, deep forest at the center and light and clear at the edge.
What should I wear with them? Cream and camel keep them soft; chocolate and black make them dramatic; white and light denim keep them fresh.
Can I wear them daily? Yes, if you like visible color — the center covers part of the pupil, so it reads full coverage, not a subtle tint.

Understanding Your Prescription
-
Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
- OD - Right Eye
- OS - Left Eye
- OU - Both Eyes
-
SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
-
BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
-
DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)
Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses
Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:
-
CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
-
AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)
Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes
- Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
- BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
