Quick Answer

Sugar Rush Pink Contact Lenses are a pale pink lens with a soft white center and a quiet outer edge, so the effect reads frosty and Y2K rather than candy-sweet. These pink contact lenses photograph like a 2002 flash snapshot.

What the Shade Looks Like

The close-up shows a light pink base that lightens toward a near-white center, with a smooth transition and no hard ring. There is no visible dot, mesh, or printed pattern across the surface, and no separate graphic highlight. The outer edge stays soft too, so the pink melts into the lash line instead of drawing a dark circle. Coverage is full, but the tone is pale, which is why it turns icy in photos.

What to Wear With Pink

1. Low-rise denim and a baby tee. A white cropped baby tee, faded low-rise jeans, a thin silver chain, and frosty cheek highlight. Clear gloss and a butterfly clip finish it.

2. Mesh top and pleated mini. A black mesh long-sleeve layered over a pink cami, a pleated micro-mini, and platform sandals. Brushed silver hoops keep it sharp.

3. Butter-yellow cardigan and white skirt. A cropped butter-yellow cardigan, white denim skirt, pale pink nails, and a dewy cheek for a softer pop.

Where They Fit

Birthday dinners with flash photos, mall photo booths, a Y2K party, a frosted-eyeshadow shoot, or a weekend brunch where the camera comes out. They also add a small jolt to an otherwise plain outfit.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes, with clean makeup and neutral clothing. The pale center is what keeps these wearable on a Tuesday. Skip them for formal office dress, deep red lips, or heavy warm-toned shadows.

FAQ

Are these pink or white lenses? Pink. The wash is light pink and fades into a near-white middle, so the overall read is pale pink.

What goes with them? Low-rise denim and a baby tee for the obvious Y2K look, or a butter-yellow cardigan and white skirt for something softer.

Can I wear them to work? Sometimes. They pass in a relaxed office with minimal makeup; they fight conservative suiting and warm eye looks.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
