Quick answer

Static Scarlet Red Contact Lenses are warm brick-red lenses with a fine halftone dot mesh, so the color reads as a soft screen-printed wash instead of a flat block of red.

What the Shade Looks Like

In the close-up the red leans brick and rust rather than candy pink, showing from the inner iris and deepening through the middle of the field.

The design story is texture: the whole field is printed in tiny dots. From arm’s length they blur into a hazy red wash; up close they look graphic and screen-like. Instead of a hard dark band, the dotted field thins toward the outer edge.

Under ring light the red deepens; in flat daylight it settles into muted rust.

What to Wear With Red

  1. Bleached streaks and washed black. Cropped band tee, black denim jacket, silver chains, studded belt. Sharp winged liner and chunky lashes keep it social-first.
  2. Oxblood and cream. Oxblood knit, cream corduroy, gold hoops, brown leather bag. Warm reds sit near burgundy, so it looks deliberate.
  3. Pale blue and sheer white. Sheer white shirt, light-wash denim, brushed silver jewelry. Cool tones push the red forward in photos.

Where They Fit

Ring-light selfies, concert nights, alt photo shoots and party looks where graphic liner is already the plan. They also suit cosplay styling when you want a warm red eye without a full character build.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes, with one caveat. Daylight diffuses the halftone into a muted rust that reads more like a tint than a statement, so brunch, class and casual Fridays work. Skip them for conservative offices and client meetings.

FAQ

Are these red or more brown? The base is warm brick red, and the dot mesh softens it toward rust; under ring light it deepens.

What should I wear with red contact lenses? Black denim and silver for an alt look, oxblood and cream for warmth, pale blue when you want them to pop.

Can I wear them on a normal day? Yes. The dotted texture keeps the color diffused, so keep them for casual plans.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
