Quick answer

Spring Mist Lake Blue Contact Lenses are a full blue lens with a smooth lake-blue center and a soft, rimless blend. These blue contact lenses read clean in daylight when you style them with quiet neutrals and simple makeup.

What the Shade Looks Like

In the close-up, the blue is clear and saturated through the center-to-mid iris, then diffused toward the outer edge instead of stopping at a hard ring. There is no drawn rim or printed mesh texture, so the finish looks smooth and continuous. No sparkle or ring pattern sits on the surface.

What to Wear With Blue

1. Clean denim and linen. An ivory linen blazer, white tee, light-wash jeans, silver hoops, and taupe slingbacks let the blue echo denim without matching it.

2. Warm oatmeal knits. An oatmeal cardigan, cream slip skirt, tan flats, and a slim gold pendant soften the cool blue for a no-makeup makeup outfit.

3. Black silk and charcoal. A black silk shirt, charcoal wide-leg trousers, pearl studs, and a muted berry lip give the blue a polished evening mood while keeping the face clean.

Where They Fit

These blue contact lenses suit a low-key office day, weekend brunch, travel photos, dinner, and a simple party look. Keep the rest minimal so the blue stays the focus.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes—this is an everyday blue if you want visible but clean color. It looks most natural with clear brow gel, mascara, and a sheer lip; it feels less everyday with heavy liner or a strong red lip. Treat it as a deliberate eye-color accessory, not a barely-there tint.

FAQ

What color are these blue contact lenses?
They are a lake-blue shade with a smooth center-to-mid field and a soft, rimless outer blend; the effect is blue, not grey or green.

What should I wear with blue contact lenses?
Start with ivory, white, oatmeal, denim, charcoal, or black, then add silver or gold jewelry; keep prints small so the blue stays central.

Do they look natural enough for everyday wear?
They can if makeup and clothing stay quiet. The smooth finish and lack of a printed rim help, but the full blue coverage is still more noticeable than a natural tint.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
