Quick answer
Soda Pop Sapphire Blue Contact Lenses are a bright blue pair with a deep navy core and a soft, ring-free edge, styled for frosty Y2K makeup. Blue contact lenses like these still read blue on camera.
What the Shade Looks Like
The base is a saturated, true blue, strongest through the middle of the lens. It deepens into navy near the center, which gives the eye depth. There is no hard outer ring — the blue fades softly into the natural iris line. The finish is smooth and even, so the drama comes from the color itself.
What to Wear With Blue
-
Y2K mall glam: low-rise bootcut denim, a cropped baby tee, chunky silver hoops, white sneakers, and a plastic claw clip.
-
Soft-focus brunch: a white slip dress, a sheer cardigan, thin silver chains, and a glossy pink lip.
-
After-dark frost: a black mini skirt, a sheer mesh top, silver rings, frosted eyeshadow, and a slick center part.
Where They Fit
Photo booths, birthday parties, and Y2K shoots are the obvious spots. They also work for travel days, brunch, and quiet coffee-shop mornings. Cosplay works too, but the blue reads pop-glam rather than one specific character.
Everyday Wear: Yes
Yes, with one rule. With bare skin, thin brows, and a nude gloss they feel like a normal Tuesday accessory. With heavy liner and a smoky eye they tip into night-out territory. Skip them for conservative offices and formal events.

Understanding Your Prescription
-
Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
- OD - Right Eye
- OS - Left Eye
- OU - Both Eyes
-
SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
-
BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
-
DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)
Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses
Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:
-
CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
-
AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)
Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes
- Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
- BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
