Quick answer

Snow Lily Black Contact Lenses are a dot-blended black that deepens the iris with a soft, smoked edge — soft glam polish for dinners, weddings and camera-ready evenings without tipping into costume.

What the Shade Looks Like

In the close-up, the base is a true black built from a fine dot mesh rather than a solid wash. The center stays open and clear around the pupil, then the dots build through the middle of the iris and thicken toward the outer edge. There is no hard rim: the pattern fades at the boundary, which is why the edge reads as smoked instead of drawn. The whole surface stays even and matte-soft.

What to Wear With Black

1. Candlelit dinner. A champagne silk slip dress, a thin gold chain, strappy heels and a blended charcoal eye.

2. Bridal guest. Dusty rose chiffon, pearl studs, a satin clutch, fluttery lashes and dewy skin.

3. Daytime luxe. Cream turtleneck, camel wool coat, black leather loafers, silver watch. Gold warms the look; silver cools it — this lens is neutral enough for both.

Where They Fit

Workdays with a blazer and a low bun. Long dinners where the warm light already does half the work. Wedding guest duty, prom, engagement photos, travel days when you want one lens to carry the styling. Cosplay and parties are an option, but this is a beauty lens first: it deepens the iris rather than announcing itself.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes. In flat office light it reads as a soft darkening at the iris edge, which is exactly why it works on a Tuesday. It builds in low, warm light and in photos. If you want obvious drama in full sun, choose a stronger design.

FAQ

What color are these lenses? Black, worked as a soft dot mesh that deepens the outer iris and fades toward the center — smoked, not solid.

What should I wear with black contact lenses? Champagne or cream for warmth, camel and black for polish, dusty rose for soft glam.

Can I wear them every day? Yes — calm enough for work and errands, and easy to style up for evenings, weddings and photos.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
