Quick Answer
Silk Cloud Grey Contact Lenses are a cool, soft grey with a fine dotted mesh and a softly diffused rim. They are grey contact lenses that look styled, never theatrical.
What the Shade Looks Like
The base is a true medium grey, closer to stone after rain than to ice. Toward the center the tone thins into a light haze, then resolves outward through a dense halftone dot mesh that blurs every edge. The rim is a deeper grey that stays soft-edged, never drawn-on.
What to Wear With Grey
Grey is a neutral, so build the outfit around texture.
-
Oatmeal and silver. Chunky oatmeal cardigan, cream ribbed tank, washed grey denim, brushed silver hoops. Soft, cool, everyday.
-
Denim and white. Light-wash denim jacket, white tee, straight-leg jeans, small gold-tone studs. An easy combination for daylight.
-
Charcoal for evening. Charcoal blazer over a black slip dress, sheer tights, pewter earrings. The effect is cool and a little moody.
Where They Fit
Everyday errands, workdays, travel days, brunch in overcast light, an evening party, and cosplay or portrait shoots where you want a cool-toned eye without a character attached.
Everyday Wear: Yes
These are everyday lenses. The grey suits no-makeup makeup and a bare lip. Two caveats: warm dim light makes it read darker, and saturated rust or orange clothing fights the cool tone. Stay neutral and it works all week.
FAQ
What color are these grey contact lenses?
A soft, cool medium grey, lighter near the center, with a diffused deeper rim and a fine halftone dot mesh.
What pairs well with them?
Oatmeal knits with brushed silver, light denim with white, or charcoal and black for evening. Cool neutrals keep grey intentional.
Are they everyday lenses?
Yes, that is their strength. They suit minimal makeup and daylight; skip them with rust or amber outfits.

Understanding Your Prescription
-
Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
- OD - Right Eye
- OS - Left Eye
- OU - Both Eyes
-
SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
-
BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
-
DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)
Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses
Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:
-
CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
-
AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)
Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes
- Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
- BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
