Quick Answer

Seville Satin Gilded Yellow Contact Lenses are a graphic pair built around one solid yellow ring set in a deep black field. There is nothing subtle about them.

What the Shade Looks Like

The close-up shows a saturated yellow band inside a wide black outer field. The yellow is warm and opaque, not a washed-out lemon. Its outer edge cuts a crisp line against the black, and the inner edge steps down to a clear center, so the ring reads like a drawn circle. The pigment is solid rather than stippled: no dot mesh, no halftone fade, no glitter. The black band stays solid to the edge, with no feathered fade.

What to Wear With Yellow

1. Black, white, and silver. A leather biker jacket, a white ribbed tank, straight black denim, and a thin silver chain.

2. Pop-art color blocking. A cobalt blazer over a cream knit, gold hoops, and a cherry-red lip.

3. Warm evening gold. A bronze satin slip dress with olive accents, a gold cuff, and tan suede.

Where They Fit

Cosplay builds, costume parties, Halloween nights, club photos, and studio portraits — anywhere a drawn eye is the point. At a wedding or a client meeting, they read as costume, not beauty.

Everyday Wear: No

Skip these for the office, errands, or daylight video calls. The wide black outer field plus a hard yellow ring looks theatrical at close range. I would save them for events, shoots, and nights when the eye is the outfit.

FAQ

What color are these yellow contact lenses? A warm, saturated yellow ring inside a deep black field, with a clear center.

What should I wear with them? Black and white with silver, cobalt with cream, or bronze and olive with gold.

Can I wear them every day? Not really. They are built for photos and costumes, not daily wear.

  • Don't reuse contact lens solution.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
