Quick answer
Seville Dawn Mocha Brown Contact Lenses give a sheer mocha wash with a clear center — the quiet clean-girl finish for a nearly bare face.
What the Shade Looks Like
Up close, the lens is a smooth, untextured field of warm mocha brown. The center stays clear around the pupil, so a little of your own iris shows through before the brown builds outward. The transition is a soft gradient, not a hard band, and there is no dark outer rim — the color thins toward the edge. No glitter, no dot pattern, no mirror gloss.
What to Wear With Brown
-
Cream and camel tailoring: a camel wool blazer, ivory ribbed knit, ecru denim, brushed gold hoops, low slick bun.
-
Monochrome chocolate: an espresso silk slip dress or cocoa cashmere crewneck with taupe wide-leg trousers and matte bronze jewelry.
-
Denim and warm neutrals: mid-blue straight jeans, a white ribbed tank, a stone-grey overshirt, small silver studs, clear balm.
Where They Fit
These are daytime lenses: office hours, a coffee run, a travel day with sunglasses pushed up, a bare-face photo shoot. For a party or cosplay styling, keep the rest of the face minimal.
Everyday Wear: Yes
Yes, this is an everyday brown. The clear center and rim-free edge keep it from looking theatrical in daylight, and mocha sits easily beside denim, tailoring, and gym clothes. It reads best with clean-girl makeup: glossy skin, brushed brows, neutral tailoring.

Understanding Your Prescription
-
Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
- OD - Right Eye
- OS - Left Eye
- OU - Both Eyes
-
SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
-
BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
-
DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)
Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses
Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:
-
CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
-
AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)
Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes
- Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
- BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
