Quick Answer

Satin Leopard Smoke Grey Contact Lenses pair a smoky grey base with a fine dotted melt and a glassy highlight — mob wife makeup in one lens. These grey contact lenses photograph as depth, not a flat circle of color.

What the Shade Looks Like

Up close, the base is a smoky grey that leans taupe in warm light rather than blue or silver. The center runs lighter and diffuses outward through a fine dotted mesh, so the edge has no hard ring — the grey feathers out softly instead of stopping in a line. A glossy highlight sits over the middle for that glass-bead shine, and the outer rim stays softly blurred.

What to Wear With Grey

1. Leopard and leather: a leopard-print slip dress, a black leather trench, gold hoops and patent heels. Grey is the neutral that holds the pattern together.

2. Bronze and camel: cream cashmere, a camel wool coat, chocolate leather trousers and one heavy gold chain. Warm metals pull out the taupe side of the grey.

3. Black satin after dark: a column dress in jet silk, satin lapels, a gold cuff and a glossy nude lip. Skip silver and let gold lift the look.

Where They Fit

Dinner lenses: steakhouse birthdays, rooftop bars, dressed-up weekends. They read as glamour, not costume, so they also suit a wedding-guest outfit, a party or a styled cosplay shoot.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes, with one condition: build the face first. Grey looks deliberate beside liner, lashes and bronzer, and flat on a bare face. Fine for a polished workday or a lunch date; skip it on no-makeup days.

FAQ

What color are these, exactly? A smoky grey with a warm taupe undertone and a fine dotted melt — softer than silver, warmer than blue.

What do I wear with grey contact lenses? Leopard, black leather, camel wool and gold. Keep silver minimal.

Can I wear them daily? Yes, if liner and lashes are part of your routine. On a bare face it reads quieter.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
