Quick answer

Satin Haze Purple Contact Lenses are a soft violet lens with a cool, flash-friendly finish that makes purple contact lenses feel playful, not theatrical.

What the Shade Looks Like

In the close-up, a deeper center opens into clear violet mid-iris. The transition is soft and diffused, with a light pixel-like grain rather than heavy mesh. The edge deepens slightly in the purple family rather than turning into a heavy black rim, and the reflection reads as lighting, not a printed highlight.

What to Wear With Purple

1. Low-Rise Denim and Baby Tee Dark low-rise jeans, a white ribbed baby tee, a cropped black cardigan. Add silver hoops, a chain belt, and frosty cheekbone highlight.

2. Lilac Slip Dress and Frosted Makeup A pale lilac satin or mesh slip dress, sheer cardigan, brushed silver jewelry. Keep lips glossy, brows thin, eyeshadow cool-toned.

3. Black Mini and Chrome Hardware A black mini skirt, a fitted zip-front top, and chrome-tone hardware. Add a tiny butterfly clip and inner-corner highlight for Y2K mood.

Where They Fit

Best for flash-photo birthdays, Y2K parties, dinner reservations, and creative weekends. They also work for photo shoots or playful cosplay styling, but stay fashion-forward rather than character-specific.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes, with a caveat. Satin Haze Purple works for everyday if your style leans playful and the face stays clean: bare skin, thin brow, glossy lip, simple jewelry. In a conservative office, save them for evenings.

FAQ

What color are these purple contact lenses? They are a true violet with a deeper center and a softly diffused edge, so the color is obvious but not flat.

What should I wear with purple contact lenses? Try low-rise denim and a baby tee for Y2K pop-glam, or a lilac slip dress and frosted makeup for a softer tonal look.

Can I wear them every day? Yes, if you keep styling simple and let the violet be the focal point; for conservative offices, they are better as an evening choice.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
