Quick answer
Sapphire Frost Blue Contact Lenses are a cool, saturated blue lens with a warm center. Wear them when you want your eyes to be the loudest thing in the photo.
What the Shade Looks Like
The blue lands on the outer iris first — clean, cool, faintly cobalt. Toward the pupil the color softens into a rose-cherry glow, so the center looks lit while the edge stays blue. The surface reads smooth and even, with no hard dark ring at the border.
What to Wear With Blue
-
Frosted denim daytime. Baby-blue velour hoodie, white low-rise jeans, silver hoops, frosted white shadow.
-
Glossy after-party. Black satin mini, cropped baby tee, chunky silver chain, lilac-grey shadow.
-
Soft-focus neutral. Cream cardigan, brown slip dress, gold hoops — the calmest way to wear blue.
Where They Fit
These blue contact lenses live in photo booths, roller-rink birthdays, Y2K revival nights, and flash-lit dinners. At work, keep the makeup quiet and they read as a deliberate accent, not a costume. Cosplay and party looks welcome too.
Everyday Wear: Yes
Yes, with one condition: wear them when blue is the point. With mascara and a sheer lip they still look styled, so casual outfits work. If you want eyes that vanish into a no-makeup routine, this is not that lens.
FAQ
What color are they, really? Blue — a cool cobalt field with a warm cherry-rose center; in dim light that center can pull violet.
What should I wear with blue contact lenses? Cool tones flatter them: baby blue, grey, white, silver. Cream and gold make the blue look intentional.
Can I wear them every day? Yes, if you like a styled eye. They look best with simple makeup and go quiet on a bare face.

Understanding Your Prescription
-
Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
- OD - Right Eye
- OS - Left Eye
- OU - Both Eyes
-
SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
-
BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
-
DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)
Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses
Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:
-
CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
-
AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)
Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes
- Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
- BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
