Quick Answer
Roller Rink Azure Blue Contact Lenses are a clean, even blue that turns frosty in flash photos and stays soft in daylight — one pair of blue contact lenses to build a whole Y2K look around.
What the Shade Looks Like
In the close-up, the base is a clear mid-blue, closer to frosted sky than navy. The blue stays even across the center and mid field, then eases into a slightly deeper tone at the edge instead of stopping at a hard rim. No dotted or mesh band, so the surface reads smooth — a soft wash of color rather than a printed pattern. The wet shine in the photo is light, not a printed gloss ring.
What to Wear With Blue
-
Low-rise denim and silver. Light-wash low-rise jeans, a cropped white baby tee, a thin silver chain belt, small hoops and frosty inner-corner highlight.
-
Satin slip and icy tones. A blue-grey satin slip over a sheer white long-sleeve tee, silver metals, a beaded bag, glossy lips.
-
Black and grey contrast. A black leather mini or grey straight-leg trousers with a ribbed tank, thin brows, one sweep of frosted shadow.
Where They Fit
Anywhere a flash photo happens: parties, concerts, birthdays, date night, a photo booth with friends. They suit travel and content days too. For work or class, keep the makeup neutral and let the lenses be the only color in the frame.
Everyday Wear: Yes
Yes — with one condition: keep the rest of the makeup quiet. A clean base, a thin brow, mascara and gloss is plenty. Add heavy liner and a bold lip and it jumps to party mode, which is fun, just not Tuesday.
FAQ
Are these blue contact lenses or grey? Blue. The mid field is a clear cool blue, and the edge only deepens slightly.
What should I wear with them? Low-rise denim and silver jewelry for Y2K energy, or a blue-grey satin slip for something softer.
Can I wear them during the day? Yes. They read soft in daylight and brighter under flash, so they work for errands or class.

Understanding Your Prescription
-
Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
- OD - Right Eye
- OS - Left Eye
- OU - Both Eyes
-
SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
-
BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
-
DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)
Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses
Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:
-
CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
-
AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)
Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes
- Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
- BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
