Quick Answer

Quiet Clover Olive Green Contact Lenses are full-coverage green contact lenses with a matte olive center and a defining dark rim. The effect is quiet and grounded — natural in daylight, never costume-bright.

What the Shade Looks Like

Up close, the base is a muted olive green: mossy, soft, without yellow brightness. Around the pupil the color sits dense, then loosens into a fine dotted mesh that shows a hint of your own iris edge. Toward the outer ring, that mesh deepens into a thin charcoal-grey rim that frames the eye and keeps the green from looking flat. The finish is matte rather than glossy — shadow and depth rather than paint.

What to Wear With Olive Green

1. Warm neutral basics. Oatmeal linen shirt, cream tee, sand trousers, gold hoops — olive loves beige and camel.

2. Deep, rich contrast. Chocolate-brown knit, plum silk, charcoal wool coat, bronze jewelry — dark clothes make the grey rim intentional.

3. Clean cool tones. Washed black denim jacket, white poplin shirt, grey trousers, silver rings — cool grey keeps green fresh.

Where They Fit

Errands, a desk job, a long train ride, brunch — these green contact lenses hold up in ordinary light, and they photograph well in soft afternoon sun. Cosplay and themed nights fit naturally too, since olive suits forest and vintage-inspired looks, but the shade doesn’t need a character to make sense.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes, with one honest note. The coverage blends softly, so it works at a desk, on the train, in daylight. If you want the faintest whisper of tint, this isn’t that pair — up close the full coverage and dark rim are visible. Keep makeup simple: brown mascara, a nude lip.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
