Purple Horizontal-Slit “Goat” Eye — Axial Stabilized Edition
A dramatic, fantasy-forward purple contact designed to create a horizontal‑slit “goat eye” effect with reliable axial stabilization. The lens features a soft amethyst glow around the pupil that blooms into deeper plum and indigo tones, overlaid with deliberate horizontal banding and a finely pixelated gradient. The banding produces a distinctive elongated‑slit appearance when viewed at angles or under strong light, while from straight‑on the iris reads as a richly layered gemstone purple—textured, velvety, and highly photogenic. A gentle, muted outer ring adds definition without harsh contrast, letting the design balance theatrical impact with wearable polish.
Axial stabilization locks the pattern orientation so the horizontal bands remain consistent during expression, head turns, and photography—making this edition ideal for stage work, film, character shoots, and high‑precision cosplay where the slit effect must stay aligned. The matte, low‑gloss finish reduces unwanted shine on camera and preserves the illusion of depth; micro‑texturing retains some natural iris visibility so the lenses feel integrated rather than fully opaque.
Recommended uses and visual styling:
- Cosplay and character work: perfect for fae, demon, hybrid-beast, or sorcerer characters requiring an unmistakable horizontal slit detail.
- Film, theatre & photography: axial stability makes the effect camera‑safe and repeatable for closeups and moving takes.
- Editorial and avant‑garde fashion: the unique silhouette reads as a modern, conceptual accent in high‑concept imagery.
Makeup & wardrobe tips: emphasize horizontal lines with elongated, narrow eyeliner and shaded lower-lid contouring to complement the slit illusion; cool metallics (silver, pewter) or deep velvets (black, eggplant) amplify the purple tones. For softer looks, pair with muted mauve lips and luminous skin to keep the lens the focal point.
Safety & fitting notes (not a substitute for professional advice): choose the correct base curve and diameter for your eye, buy from certified manufacturers, and follow hygienic cleaning and wear-time guidelines. Because this is an axial (stabilized) design, have the right prescription and orientation confirmed at fitting—first wear during a supervised makeup or fitting session is recommended. Discontinue use and consult an eye care professional if you experience persistent discomfort, redness, or blurred vision.

Understanding Your Prescription
-
Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
- OD - Right Eye
- OS - Left Eye
- OU - Both Eyes
-
SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
-
BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
-
DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)
Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses
Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:
-
CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
-
AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)
Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes
- Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
- BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
