Quick answer

Prague Smoke Haze Grey Contact Lenses are a cool, smoky grey with a blue undertone and a fine dotted mesh that fades into the rim. They read as quiet definition, not a loud color.

What the Shade Looks Like

The close-up shows a pale, misty center that deepens into slate blue-grey at the edge. The pattern is a fine stippled mesh, tiny dots layered close instead of solid rings, so the color shifts as the light moves. The rim darkens slightly, then blurs outward rather than drawing a hard line.

What to Wear With Grey

1. Cool city tailoring. Charcoal wool blazer, dove grey silk shell, black trousers, brushed silver hoops.

2. Soft lilac and faded denim. A lavender knit and washed black jeans pull out the blue undertone; white sneakers keep it easy.

3. Evening contrast. Deep navy satin, a cropped leather jacket, gunmetal jewelry. Bone white makes the grey pop in photos.

Where They Fit

Weekday desks, coffee runs, and travel days, when you want your eyes defined but not loud. For parties, photos, or cosplay, the mesh catches flash without going metallic; cool light suits it best.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes, with one note. The grey stays quiet at work, running errands, and at dinner, and it plays well with a neutral wardrobe. In strong sun, the outer edge reads more defined than it does indoors.

FAQ

What color are these lenses? A smoky grey with a cool blue undertone, palest in the center and deeper at the edge.

What should I wear with grey contact lenses? Charcoal, dove grey, lavender, navy, and black all work; silver or gunmetal keeps the tone cool.

Are they good for everyday wear? Yes for most days — the dotted mesh and darker edge simply show more in bright daylight.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
