Quick answer

Pixel Frost Azure Blue Contact Lenses are the sort of blue contact lenses that read as a cool blue-grey iris — feathered, quietly smoky, with no dark outer ring.

What the Shade Looks Like

In the close-up the center stays open and clear, then blends outward into a soft blue-grey mid-tone. The fibers are fine and feathered, closer to blurred iris strands than to dots, so the shift from center to edge feels gradual. There’s no hard outer rim — the color thins out near the edge instead of ending in a line. Against pink hair and freckled skin it sits cool and smoky.

What to Wear With Blue

1. Glitchy black. Black baby tee, pleated charcoal mini, fishnets, platform boots, a studded belt and silver chains. Flat black keeps the alt edge without tipping into costume.

2. Smoke grey streetwear. Oversized heather hoodie, white ribbed tee, baggy cargos, faded denim and matte silver hoops. Grey lets the eyes hold the color.

3. Warm contrast. Burnt orange cardigan, oatmeal corduroy, cream tee and gold hoops. Warm tones push the blue-grey forward.

Where They Fit

Ring-light selfies first: winged liner, chunky lashes, a bold cheek. Concerts, late parties and photo shoots work the same way, and cosplay or android-style looks stay cool. Office days and travel are easy with lighter makeup.

Everyday Wear: Yes

The grey-blue base is soft enough for a bare face — brown shadow, mascara, done. Add graphic liner and heavy lashes and it flips into a night-out lens. A clear yes, with a mood switch built in.

FAQ

What color are these blue contact lenses? A cool blue-grey: open center, feathered middle, no dark ring.

How do I style them? Black and charcoal for alt makeup, grey and denim for daytime, warm yellow or rust to brighten the blue.

Can I wear them every day? Yes — keep makeup light for daytime and save graphic liner for nights out.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
