Quick answer
Pearl Spring White Contact Lenses are white contact lenses with a smoked pearl finish: a deep neutral core that softens the iris instead of brightening it.
What the Shade Looks Like
The macro shot shows a deep brown-black center, the darkest point of the lens, opening into a muted wine-plum field. There is no crisp ring and no hard outer line, just a gradual fade that lands where your natural iris ends. The surface looks matte, with a faint speckled blend where the two tones meet and no glossy highlight. Coverage is even, so the eye reads duskier rather than graphic.
What to Wear With White
-
Oatmeal and grey. A chunky oatmeal sweater, straight grey denim, worn leather sneakers. The deep core keeps neutrals from looking flat.
-
Black slip, silver accents. A plain black slip dress, cropped leather jacket, brushed silver hoops — the plum edge picks up cool metal.
-
Cream and denim. A cream tee under an oversized denim shirt, gold watch, hair in a low clip. Linen and cotton keep it unstyled.
Where They Fit
Everyday first: a desk, a commute, a market walk. They also photograph well in low light for a party or a cosplay with dark, dramatic eyes.
Everyday Wear: Yes
Yes, with one caveat: this is not a brightening lens. It deepens and cools the eye, so if you live in pale, wide-awake makeup, expect a darker read than you imagine.
FAQ
What color are these white contact lenses, really? Deep brown-black at the center, wine-plum through the middle — the finished look is smoked, not pale.
What should I pair with them? Neutrals — oatmeal, grey, cream, black — with plain silver or gold jewelry. Skip neon and glitter.
Are they good for everyday wear? Yes with light makeup. For a milky, fresh-faced finish, choose a paler lens instead.

Understanding Your Prescription
-
Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
- OD - Right Eye
- OS - Left Eye
- OU - Both Eyes
-
SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
-
BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
-
DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)
Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses
Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:
-
CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
-
AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)
Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes
- Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
- BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
