Quick answer
Pearl Dawn Champagne Brown Contact Lenses are brown contact lenses that add a softly defined warmth. They read as a polished, natural-looking brown without shouting.
What the Shade Looks Like
The graphic shows a pale beige center with fine dotting that melts into a warm brown mid-ring. On the eye, the center reads deep brown and fades to a lighter warm brown before the edge. A fine dot-matrix print covers the colored area, denser toward the mid-periphery and softer on the eye. A distinct dark brown to charcoal rim frames the lens, and a bright white highlight sits near the upper pupil.
What to Wear With Brown
1. Cream and Camel — cream turtleneck, camel coat, gold hoops.
2. Chocolate and Denim — brown blazer, white tee, straight jeans, silver hoops.
3. Olive and Leather — olive silk blouse, black leather trousers, bronze necklace.
Where They Fit
Reach for them for work, travel photos, parties, and warm cosplay looks. They also suit soft glam makeup for dinners or brunch.
Everyday Wear: Yes
They work for daily wear when you want a softly defined brown eye. If you prefer a barely-there lens, save them for days when you want more polish.

Understanding Your Prescription
-
Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
- OD - Right Eye
- OS - Left Eye
- OU - Both Eyes
-
SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
-
BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
-
DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)
Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses
Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:
-
CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
-
AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)
Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes
- Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
- BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
