Quick Answer

Nebula Lagoon Blue Contact Lenses are a deep, cool blue pair built for the frosty, flash-lit Y2K eye — and one of the easiest blue contact lenses to style.

What the Shade Looks Like

The base is a dense lagoon blue, closer to deep denim than sky. A fine dot mesh covers the printed area, tight enough to read as a soft velvet wash. The pupil-to-center blend is gentle, so the middle never looks flat, and the blue runs through the mid field before sinking into a slightly deeper outer edge that frames the iris. No glitter, no graphic print — just muted blue with a soft sheen.

What to Wear With Blue

1. Y2K Denim — low-rise bootcut jeans, a white ribbed baby tee, a cropped zip hoodie, chunky sneakers, silver hoops and clear gloss.

2. Frosty Glam — lilac shimmer shadow, frosty highlighter, glossy nude lips and a pale grey slip dress. Cool tones keep the blue from going grey on camera.

3. After-Dark Gloss — black mini skirt, mesh top over a cami, patent bag, berry gloss. This one loves a camera flash.

Where They Fit

Coffee runs with mascara. Creative-office days with denim and a blazer. Travel photos, birthday dinners, house parties, cosplay nights and any group shot where someone yells “flash on.”

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes, with one condition. The blue is deep and clearly visible, so it reads intentional with a little makeup and loud on a bare face. Mascara and tinted balm for daytime; frosty shadow and gloss after dark.

FAQ

What color are these blue contact lenses? A deep lagoon blue — dark denim rather than pastel, with a soft deeper edge.

What should I wear with them? Low-rise denim and a white tee by day; silver hoops, a slip dress and cool shadow by night.

Can I wear them every day? Yes, if you treat them as a styling piece and balance them with mascara and gloss.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
