Quick answer

Morning Mist Brown Contact Lenses are a soft, seamless brown for anyone who wants depth in the eye without a colored-lens look — a quiet brown contact lens that still looks natural in daylight.

What the Shade Looks Like

In the close-up the center is a clean, even brown — warm, never muddy, and not so dark that it goes black indoors. It opens through a clear mid-field, then softens into a light grey-brown haze at the outer edge. There’s no hard rim and no drawn-on ring; the blend feathers out instead of stopping in a circle. No glitter or heavy print — just a smooth finish that reads the same on camera.

What to Wear With Brown Contact Lenses

  1. Cream and oatmeal for daytime. A cream linen blazer, a ribbed oatmeal knit, tan sandals, small gold hoops. Warm neutrals let the brown carry the look.
  2. Denim and grey for weekends. Mid-wash straight-leg jeans, a white tee, a grey wool overshirt, a thin silver chain. Cool tones wake up the grey-brown edge.
  3. Black for evenings. A black turtleneck or a matte slip dress, brushed silver jewelry, a soft berry lip. Clean lines only.

Where They Fit

Coffee runs, desk days, travel, brunch photos and wedding-guest looks. A party or cosplay styling works if the rest of the look stays low-key. This is not a theatrical lens.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes — this is the pair to keep in rotation with a bare face and no-makeup makeup. It works in office light, daylight and flash. Skip it if you want an obvious color change; the shift is subtle.

FAQ

What color are these lenses? Brown, with a clear mid-field and a soft grey-brown haze at the edge — cooler than honey.

What should I wear with them? Cream, oatmeal and camel warm the brown up; denim, grey and silver pull the cooler note forward.

Can I wear them every day? Yes, for work, errands and photos they stay natural. On stage or in costume they are too quiet to be the point.

  • Don't wear contact lenses overnight.
  • Don't wear your contact lenses in the shower or while swimming.
  • Don't reuse contact lens solution.

  • Replace your contact lens case every two to three months.
  • Take out your contacts if they are bothering you.
  • Never use saliva as a wetting agent.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
