Quick Answer

Morning Linen Almond Brown Contact Lenses are a full-coverage warm brown that reads rich and even rather than flat. If you want brown contact lenses that look deliberate in daylight, this is the pair.

What the Shade Looks Like

Up close, the base is an almond-milk brown — warm and milky, a shade deeper than plain chocolate. A fine dot-mesh texture runs evenly across the surface, and the color holds from center to edge instead of fading out.

The outer edge dips into a slightly deeper brown rather than a hard dark ring, so the whole finish stays smooth. No glitter, no shine — just an even, soft surface.

What to Wear With Brown

1. Daylight Neutrals — an oatmeal linen shirt, cream knit, light-wash denim, tan flats and small gold hoops.

2. Chocolate and Camel — a chocolate satin slip, a camel wool coat, an ivory tee and bronze jewelry.

3. Cool Contrast — a charcoal blazer, a crisp white shirt, black jeans and silver jewelry.

Where They Fit

Office days, coffee runs, long flights, brunch and daylight photos are the sweet spot. They also hold up for a themed party or a cosplay look, though the shade never has to read as costume.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes — this is a daily brown. Full coverage makes it deliberate, so pair it with a brushed brow and a little mascara. Skip it on bare-face mornings, when your own eye color should be the story.

FAQ

What color are these brown contact lenses? A warm almond-milk brown that fills the iris, with a fine dot-mesh texture and a softly deepened edge.

What should I wear with them? Cream, oatmeal, camel, chocolate and ivory with gold or bronze; add charcoal and white when you want the brown to stand out.

Can I wear them every day? Yes, if you like a fuller brown. Skip them on days when you want a bare, barely-there eye.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
