Quick answer
Morning Fern Green Contact Lenses are a soft apple-green everyday lens with a thin charcoal rim. They lift your own eye color instead of masking it.
What the Shade Looks Like
The center is a fresh grass-green, a little deeper as it moves outward. The blend is smooth and finely diffused — no hard line, no heavy mesh. What defines it is the edge: a slim charcoal-grey rim circling the outer field and framing the green. The finish is matte-soft rather than glossy, which is what keeps it reading like an eye color.
What to Wear With Green
Green flatters warm neutrals and cool denim alike.
-
Cream and camel: an oatmeal knit, a camel coat, gold hoops, tan leather flats. The green wakes up beige.
-
Denim and white: light-wash straight jeans, a plain white tee, silver studs, a canvas tote. The easiest everyday pairing.
-
Olive and black: an olive slip dress or overshirt, black ankle boots, a thin gold chain. Tonal green, dark anchor.
Where They Fit
Office light, coffee runs, airport days, Sunday markets. The dark rim gives the eye a defined edge, so close-up photos look pulled together. For a party or a cosplay look, the green carries a costume — though it never needs one.
Everyday Wear: Yes
Yes. Saturated enough to be noticed, muted enough for work and errands. Skip them only if you want a completely bare eye.

Understanding Your Prescription
-
Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
- OD - Right Eye
- OS - Left Eye
- OU - Both Eyes
-
SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
-
BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
-
DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)
Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses
Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:
-
CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
-
AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)
Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes
- Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
- BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
