Quick answer

Morning Denim Smoky Blue Contact Lenses are a cool blue-grey pair with a dotted blend and a dark rim — natural blue contact lenses, not a costume lens.

What the Shade Looks Like

The close-up shows a smoky denim blue-grey field over the natural iris. The center stays clear over your pupil, then the blue-grey deepens outward through a dense dot-mesh print with fine speckling and soft radial streaks. A charcoal-grey rim finishes the shape — a defining edge, not the dominant color, with a softly smudged outer line. Light lands as a soft shine and a bright highlight near the pupil, so the finish reads like an eye.

What to Wear With Smoky Blue

  1. Washed denim and white: mid-wash straight jeans, a white ribbed tank, an oversized grey wool blazer and silver hoops — the lens picks up the dusty blue.
  2. Oatmeal and cream: an oatmeal linen shirt, a cream cardigan, tan suede loafers and brushed gold, so blue stays the only cool note.
  3. Charcoal tailoring: charcoal trousers, an ivory silk blouse, a black belt and black boots; the dark rim echoes the charcoal.

Where They Fit

Desk days, coffee runs, long weekend walks and travel photos suit them. In the evening they sit well beside a black slip dress or a leather jacket. Party and cosplay styling works too, but this pair never needs a character.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes, with one note. The blend is soft enough for weekdays and no-makeup makeup eyes, so nothing feels loud. Keep the rest of your eye look simple; heavy liner and glitter pull it away from natural.

FAQ

What color are these lenses? A smoky denim blue — a cool blue-grey center-to-mid field with a dark charcoal rim, greyer indoors and bluer in daylight.

What should I wear with blue contact lenses? Denim, white, cream, oatmeal, grey and charcoal, with silver or brushed gold jewelry.

Can I wear them every day? Yes, for everyday styling; the dotted pattern looks most natural with light eye makeup.

  • Don't reuse contact lens solution.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
