Quick Answer
Moon Radiant Silver Contact Lenses read as a frosted silver-sage green with a rose-lit center — Y2K frost, not hard chrome. They give the flash-photo eye without tipping into costume.
What the Shade Looks Like
In the close-up, the printed field is pale and silvered at the outer edge, a soft sage green that leans grey in cool light, then deepens toward the middle in a dark-to-light fade. A rose blush ring sits closest to the pupil, so the read is silver-sage with a flushed core. The print is a fine dot mesh with a feathered edge and no defined dark rim. Coverage runs full across the iris, keeping the pattern visible in flash photos.
What to Wear With Silver Frost
-
Y2K denim and frost. Low-rise grey denim, a cropped baby tee, butterfly clips, frosty highlighter, clear gloss.
-
Slate satin at night. Gunmetal satin slip dress, thin silver hoops, a sheer glossed lip.
-
Soft neutral daytime. Cream knit, light-wash denim, brushed silver jewelry, rose lip tint.
Where They Fit
Photo lenses first: flash shots, birthday dinners, festival nights, anything glossy and chrome-lit. They suit parties, concerts, and a frosty silver-haired cosplay look, reading as an accessory, not a costume. In daylight, they pass as a cool styling edge.
Everyday Wear: Yes
Yes, with one condition. Daylight softens the pale outer field and the rose center stays subtle, so they pass as a styling choice. The dark-to-light middle is boldest under warm indoor light and flash. At a conservative office, keep them for the weekend.
FAQ
What color do these silver contact lenses look like? A pale silvered sage green with a rose ring near the pupil and a dark-to-light fade through the middle.
What pairs with a green-silver lens? Cool tones: grey denim, slate satin, silver jewelry, cream knits, plus a rose lip tint that echoes the center.
Can I wear them on a normal day? Yes — the lens reads soft in daylight and gets loud mostly in flash, so save the full frost for a night out.

Understanding Your Prescription
-
Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
- OD - Right Eye
- OS - Left Eye
- OU - Both Eyes
-
SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
-
BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
-
DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)
Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses
Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:
-
CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
-
AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)
Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes
- Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
- BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
