Quick Answer

Milan Iris Chestnut Brown Contact Lenses are brown contact lenses with an even chestnut warmth and a soft fading edge, made for daylight and minimal makeup.

What the Shade Looks Like

The close-up shows full, even brown coverage with a clear center-to-mid transition. Color softens outward instead of stopping at a drawn line, so no dark outer rim reads on the eye. There is no visible dot, mesh or printed texture, and the surface stays quiet rather than glossy.

What to Wear With Brown Contact Lenses

Brown contact lenses behave like a neutral, so the outfit can stay simple.

  1. Warm cream and gold. Cream ribbed knit, oatmeal wide-leg trousers, camel wool coat, gold hoops, tan leather bag.
  2. Chocolate and cream. Chocolate satin slip dress, ivory blazer, brown suede boots, bronze cuff.
  3. Grey and denim. Grey wool blazer, faded straight-leg denim, white tee, brushed silver, so brown is the only warm note.

Where They Fit

Work mornings, errands, brunch and travel days are the natural home. They also suit a party or a cosplay shoot when the face stays natural and the styling carries the look.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes — this is an everyday pair. With bare skin, cream blush and a soft brow, the brown reads as a deepened, un-drawn neutral. Skip it under graphic liner or heavy smoky shadow, where a soft edge disappears.

FAQ

What color are these brown contact lenses? An even chestnut-brown that fills the iris and fades softly outward, with no visible dark rim.

What should I wear with them? Cream, oatmeal and camel keep it warm; grey, white and denim make brown the only warm note.

Can I wear them every day? Yes, with minimal makeup. Under high-contrast eyes, a soft brown blend gets lost.

  • Don't reuse contact lens solution.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
