Quick Answer
Luminous Paris Amber Brown Contact Lenses are brown contact lenses with a warm amber base and a soft pink-orange glow. The effect is soft glam: blended, luminous, camera-ready.
What the Shade Looks Like
The base is a warm amber brown with a gentle rose-orange warmth. The center stays clearest around the pupil, then the color builds outward in an even, softly diffused wash. There is no hard outer ring — the edge fades into the lash line instead of drawing a line around it. Up close the field reads smooth and evenly blended.
What to Wear With Brown
-
Golden-hour dinner: champagne silk slip dress, thin gold hoops, nude-brown lip, copper shadow blended upward.
-
Quiet wedding guest: ivory satin midi, pearl studs, blush heels, rose-mocha lip, brown liner.
-
Everyday polish: cream cashmere knit, camel wool coat, gold watch, taupe shadow, fluttery lashes.
Where They Fit
Bridal suites, rehearsal dinners, prom photos, birthday dinners and studio shoots — plus office days with neutral makeup. One blended wash of shadow and mascara is enough.
Everyday Wear: Yes
Yes, with one condition: keep the rest of the eye soft. A warm amber brown gets overpowered by heavy black liner or graphic shadow. With neutral makeup it reads polished, not theatrical.
FAQ
What color are these brown contact lenses? A warm amber brown with a soft pink-orange tint, clearest at the center and diffused toward the edge.
What makeup suits them? Blended copper shadow, fluttery lashes, and a nude-brown or rose-mocha lip. Gold jewelry flatters them more than silver.
Can I wear them daily? Yes, with natural makeup. They look most like you on low-key days and most photogenic in warm evening light.

Understanding Your Prescription
-
Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
- OD - Right Eye
- OS - Left Eye
- OU - Both Eyes
-
SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
-
BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
-
DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)
Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses
Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:
-
CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
-
AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)
Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes
- Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
- BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
