Quick Answer

Lotus Silk Amber Brown Contact Lenses are a warm amber brown with a golden center and a softly dotted blend — an easy finish for soft glam makeup in daylight and evening light alike.

What the Shade Looks Like

The center stays clear, then a golden amber ring glows around the pupil before the color eases into a deeper cocoa brown. A fine dotted mesh blends the two, small flecks instead of a solid block of pigment, and the edge fades into the iris with no dark rim. Under warm studio light that amber center picks up a candle-like glow. The finish is a soft gloss rather than a mirror shine, so these brown contact lenses read as warm and lit, never graphic.

What to Wear With Amber Brown

Warm tones are the easy answer, and you can push them either way.

  1. Gala evening. A champagne satin slip dress, brushed gold hoops, glossy nude lip.
  2. Bridal and soft glam. Ivory silk, beige tailoring, pearl studs, taupe shadow, fluttery lashes.
  3. Night out. A black slip dress, bronze shimmer on the lids, gold jewelry, a terracotta lip.

Where They Fit

Weddings, rehearsal dinners, prom photos and long dinner reservations. Office light and travel days are fine too, no full face of makeup required.

Everyday Wear: Yes

An everyday yes, with one honest note: the blend is soft, so it reads quiet in flash photos rather than dramatic. For workdays, brunch and weekends, it’s an easy add.

FAQ

What color are these brown contact lenses? Warm amber brown — a golden ring around the pupil melting into deeper cocoa, with a dotted, blended edge.

What should I wear with them? Champagne, cream, camel, bronze and terracotta, with gold or pearl metals. Icy silver fights the warmth.

Can I wear them every day? Yes. The dotted pattern is fine enough to read natural in daylight, and warm evening light flatters it further.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
