Quick answer
Lotus Lagoon Blue Contact Lenses are blue contact lenses with a soft grey-blue wash — quiet in daylight and easy with everyday makeup.
What the Shade Looks Like
The base is a cool grey-blue, like shallow water under cloud. The pupil stays clear, then color opens through a soft pupil-to-center transition — no hard ring. A fine dotted mesh carries the shade across the iris, denser in the middle and lighter at the edge — a wash, not a solid disc. No dark outer rim, no glossy highlight; the finish stays matte and misty.
What to Wear With Blue
-
Oatmeal and ivory: a chunky oatmeal knit, ivory jeans, tan loafers, gold hoops. Low contrast keeps blue the only cool note.
-
Warm grey and navy: a navy blazer, grey ribbed tee, brushed silver jewelry. The eyes echo the navy without matching it.
-
Denim on denim: a light-wash denim jacket, a white tank, dark indigo jeans, black leather belt. Keep makeup bare so the blue feels intentional.
Where They Fit
A normal week suits them: coffee, class, a desk job, errands. They also read well in photos and on lunch dates. For parties or cosplay, they stay the soft option — lovely for a fairy mood, less for a graphic character look.
Everyday Wear: Yes
Yes, with one honest note: this is a muted blue that reads as a soft grey-blue in daylight and sits well with neutrals. Want a loud, saturated blue? This finish will feel gentle.
FAQ
What color is this shade? A cool grey-blue with a fine dotted texture and no dark rim — misty outdoors, deeper indoors.
What pairs with blue contact lenses like these? Neutrals first: oatmeal, ivory, navy, denim. Gold warms it; silver cools it; keep eye makeup minimal.
Are they good for everyday? Yes — the blend is soft and natural-looking, which is why they suit ordinary days.

Understanding Your Prescription
-
Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
- OD - Right Eye
- OS - Left Eye
- OU - Both Eyes
-
SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
-
BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
-
DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)
Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses
Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:
-
CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
-
AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)
Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes
- Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
- BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
