Quick answer
Lisbon Pearl Grey Contact Lenses are a cool, softly blended grey that looks natural on the eye instead of flat silver. If you want grey contact lenses that stay calm in daylight, start here.
What the Shade Looks Like
The close-up shows a dense dotted mesh across the iris, so the grey keeps its depth. Around the pupil the tone sits a shade deeper, then opens into a mid-grey field that stays even. Toward the outer edge there is no hard ring — the dots thin and melt into a soft, smoky fade. No mirrored gloss is built in, so the grey reads matte-soft on camera.
What to Wear With Grey
-
Soft neutrals: an oatmeal knit, cream denim, a beige trench and brushed silver hoops.
-
Cool tailoring: a charcoal blazer, a white poplin shirt, grey wool trousers and a slim silver watch.
-
Evening balance: a slate slip dress, a fine gold chain and a berry lip keep the grey cool against warm metal.
Where They Fit
These live in daylight: office mornings, weekend markets, long train rides and quiet dinners. They also photograph well in overcast light. A party or cosplay look is possible — sleek black outfit, sharp winged liner — but that is styling, not personality.
Everyday Wear: Yes
Yes. Lisbon Pearl Grey is deep enough for camera but soft enough for a desk, so it suits work, errands, travel and low-key photos. Skip it if you want a bright, high-contrast grey for stage or costume looks.

Understanding Your Prescription
-
Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
- OD - Right Eye
- OS - Left Eye
- OU - Both Eyes
-
SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
-
BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
-
DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)
Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses
Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:
-
CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
-
AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)
Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes
- Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
- BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
