Quick answer

Linen Mist Warm Grey Contact Lenses are a soft-glam grey with a milky, linen-lit warmth — polished enough for a wedding, easy enough for a Tuesday. They flatter bare skin and blended eyeshadow instead of costume drama.

What the Shade Looks Like

The base of these grey contact lenses is a warm grey with a milky, linen undertone rather than a cold slate. A fine dotted mesh blends the outer edge inward, so the shift into the center stays soft instead of drawing a hard ring. The center opens lighter, keeping the eye awake, while the outer field holds a gentle smoky depth. No hard outline, no sharp shine — light lands diffused.

What to Wear With Warm Grey

  1. Champagne silk for evening. A liquid-silk slip dress in champagne or pearl, thin gold chains, a bare shoulder, and a soft taupe eye with individual lashes.
  2. Dove grey tailoring for daytime. A dove grey knit blazer, white ribbed tee, straight-leg denim, and brushed silver hoops; a camel trench keeps the warmth going.
  3. Black with a soft face. A black column dress or slip skirt, slim heels, and a low bun. Blend rose-taupe shadow, cream blush, and a nude lip so the grey stays the quietest thing you wear.

Where They Fit

Cocktail hour, a candlelit reception, prom photos, and studio sessions. They also carry a workday or a travel day when you want your eyes defined but not decorated.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes — this is an everyday grey. The warm undertone works with jeans, knitwear, and office neutrals. It is not the pair for graphic liner or heavy smoke; when you want bold contrast, choose a cooler, darker grey.

FAQ

What color are these grey contact lenses? A warm, milky grey with a linen tint — softly smoky near the edge, lighter toward the center, never icy.

What should I wear with them? Champagne silk and gold for evening, dove grey and silver for daytime, black with soft makeup for night.

Can I wear them every day? Yes, at work, brunch, and on travel days; switch to a cooler grey when you want a bolder eye.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
