Quick Answer
Linen Meadow Green Contact Lenses are soft mint green contact lenses with a fine charcoal rim, made for natural daylight and everyday outfits rather than costume looks.
What the Shade Looks Like
The green fills the center and mid-field in a cool, slightly milky mint, then blends smoothly into a thin dark rim that outlines the iris. There is no loud dot mesh or graphic print here — the surface stays smooth, and the green eases into charcoal instead of stopping at a hard line. That quiet edge is what keeps the shade believable up close.
What to Wear With Green
-
Oatmeal and denim: a cream ribbed knit, straight-leg jeans, a canvas tote, and brushed silver hoops.
-
Black and leather: a black slip dress, a cropped leather jacket, slim gold hoops, and a matte brown lip.
-
Olive tailoring: an olive blazer, a white cotton tee, pleated charcoal trousers, and small pearl studs.
Where They Fit
Desk days, a slow Sunday brunch, an overcast portrait session, a friend’s birthday dinner. They are also an easy way to try green contact lenses before a party or a costume night, since the tint stays soft in photos.
Everyday Wear: Yes
Yes, with one caveat: this is a visible green tint, not a whisper of color. Keep the rest of your makeup bare and let the rim carry the look.

Understanding Your Prescription
-
Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
- OD - Right Eye
- OS - Left Eye
- OU - Both Eyes
-
SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
-
BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
-
DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)
Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses
Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:
-
CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
-
AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)
Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes
- Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
- BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
