Quick Answer

Linen Lagoon Blue Contact Lenses are a soft grey-blue pair built for everyday wear — blue through the center, a fine dot mesh, and an edge that fades instead of ringing the iris.

What the Shade Looks Like

In the close-up, the blue is strongest just off the pupil and holds a grey undertone rather than a bright cyan. From the center outward, the color thins in an even gradient — no hard line, no dark outline — and the fine printed dots loosen as they reach the edge of the iris. The surface reads flat and even across the print.

What to Wear With Blue

1. Denim, top to bottom. Mid-wash straight jeans, a light chambray shirt or plain white tee, a tan leather belt, small silver hoops.

2. Cream and camel neutrals. An oatmeal knit, a camel wool coat, an ivory tee, gold-toned earrings, and a soft brown bag. Warm neutrals keep the blue calm instead of icy.

3. Black with one soft texture. A black blazer, charcoal trousers, and a fine-gauge knit underneath, with nothing competing against the shade.

Where They Fit

Work calls, travel days, weekend errands, and quiet dinners all suit this shade, because the gradient edge disappears at conversation distance. A party works if your makeup stays light, and cosplay can borrow it for a soft, modern look rather than a sharp one.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes, this is an everyday lens. It reads as a natural blue-grey in daylight and stays believable under office lighting, since the missing rim never shouts. Skip it if you want a dramatic, high-contrast eye — that is not what this one does.

FAQ

What color are these lenses? A muted grey-blue, running from a clearer blue center to a faded blue-grey edge.

What should I wear with blue contact lenses? Cool basics first: denim, white, grey, silver. Cream and camel soften the blue, while black sharpens it.

Can I wear them every day? Yes — the fine mesh and fade-out edge suit low-makeup, regular wear. Save stronger rims for big nights.

  • Don't reuse contact lens solution.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
