Quick answer

Lagoon Moss Green Contact Lenses are a vivid jade-teal green built on a fine dotted mesh with a defined outer rim. If you want green contact lenses that read as bright gemstone color instead of a soft wash, build your look around this pair.

What the Shade Looks Like

Up close, the base is saturated jade-teal. The center opens into a lighter, almost grassy mint, then deepens outward in a soft transition, so nothing looks blocky. The texture is a fine halftone dot mesh rather than streaks or rays, which gives the surface an airbrushed, inked quality. A slim band of deeper green frames the outer edge for a defined finish. Studio light catches a small glossy highlight, and there is no printed graphic, glitter, or gold ring.

What to Wear With Green

Green this saturated plays best when the outfit picks one temperature and commits to it.

  1. Cool and clean: charcoal wool coat, open-collar white poplin shirt, gray cashmere scarf, silver hoops, black loafers. Silver is your only metal.
  2. Warm contrast: terracotta silk blouse, camel trench, chocolate leather belt, brushed gold chain. Rust pulls the teal forward instead of fighting it.
  3. Tonal green: olive cargos, deep emerald satin slip, cream knit tucked in, bronze sandals — close tones, mixed textures.

Where They Fit

Concerts, rooftop dinners, birthday photos, and cosplay looks where the eye is treated as a design detail. Party styling welcomes graphic liner, a few rhinestones at the lash line, and a bold or bare lip.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes, with a caveat. With jeans, a white tee, and a leather jacket, the green reads intentional and fun. I’d skip them for a first interview, a conservative office, or anywhere blending in is the goal.

FAQ

What color are these, exactly? A vivid jade-teal green with a lighter mint center and a darker rim — clearly green in daylight.

What should I wear with green contact lenses? Cool neutrals with silver, rust and camel with gold, or a tonal olive-and-emerald outfit. Avoid a second loud color near your face.

Can I wear them every day? They’re a statement shade, so most of us reach for them a few times a week rather than daily.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
