Quick Answer

Lagoon Aqua Cyan Blue Contact Lenses are a vivid aqua-blue pair with a dark teal outer rim and a fine dotted mesh print. If you want blue contact lenses that stay clearly cyan in daylight, start here.

What the Shade Looks Like

The graphic opens on a clear center, then a subtle darker teal inner ring steps into a lighter cyan mid-zone, finishing with a distinct dark teal rim that fades softly inward. That layering gives the color depth instead of flatness.

Up close the print is a fine dotted mesh, not a drawn line pattern, so the edge blends with a soft gradient. A bright specular highlight keeps the cyan luminous rather than dusty.

What to Wear With Aqua Blue

1. Poolside neutrals. A white linen shirt, cream wide-leg trousers, and a thin silver chain let the cyan be the only cool note in the frame.

2. Tonal blue. Try a slate-blue knit, faded denim, and brushed steel hoops — matte fabrics keep the lens the glossiest thing you’re wearing.

3. Icy pastels after dark. A lilac slip dress, pearl strands, and a cool silver cuff make the aqua pop against pale lavender under warm light.

Where They Fit

Weekends, errands, travel photos, and parties are the natural home for this pair. Cosplay looks built around bright cyan eyes work too. In a conservative office the saturation reads loud, so keep them for casual days.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes, with a caveat. The saturation is high, so these suit casual, well-lit days. In dim light or a formal setting the cyan can feel louder than the rest of your outfit.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
