Quick Answer

Jelly Gloss Lilac Purple Contact Lenses are a soft lavender purple lens with a fine dotted mesh and a smudged edge — a cool, frosted Y2K eye in one pair.

What the Shade Looks Like

The base is a pale lavender purple with a grey-violet undertone. The center stays light and slightly translucent, so your own iris shows through, then deepens in a soft airbrushed gradient toward the edge. The pattern is a fine, even dot mesh rather than a heavy print, and a gentle highlight sits across the middle. The rim is smudged, not sharp, so the outer edge blends instead of drawing a hard circle.

What to Wear With Purple

1. Flash-Photo Denim. Low-rise bootcut jeans, a pink baby tee, a cropped denim jacket, silver hoops, and a mini shoulder bag.

2. Frosted Lilac Minimal. A lilac slip dress or a thin lilac knit over grey tailored trousers, icy silver jewelry, pearl-toned nails, and a patent mini bag.

3. After-Party Gloss. A black slip dress with a sheer lilac shirt over it, glossy lips, thin brows, and a chrome-tone bag. Black makes the lavender pop.

Where They Fit

Easy for desk-to-dinner days, travel photos, and birthday dinners. The tint shows up under flash, so they’re fun for photo nights and for Y2K-themed parties or cosplay styling.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes, with one honest caveat. The lavender is visible in daylight, so it works when you want a soft purple eye and cool-toned makeup. On days you’d rather nobody notice, keep these in the drawer.

FAQ

What color are these lenses? A pale lavender purple with grey-violet depth, a light center, and a smudged rim instead of a hard ring.

What should I pair with them? Frosted eyeshadow, thin brows, a glossy pink or berry lip, and silver jewelry; low-rise denim does the rest.

Are these purple contact lenses an everyday pair? Yes if you like a visible lilac tint; skip them when you want your natural eye to lead.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
